High Risk Asbestos Abatement

Some asbestos projects are more hazardous than others and require licensed asbestos contractors to manage safely. There are three main types of asbestos:

Crocidolite (blue)
Amosite (brown)
Chrysotile (white)

Any type of asbestos is hazardous; however, Crocidolite and Amosite, especially in high volumes, are considered more so due to their fragility. Examples of items that are often high-risk include spray coatings, asbestos insulation board (AIB) and pipe lagging. Whilst we are not licensed to remove this type of material, our team have a wealth of experience gleaned from over 10 years in the asbestos industry, so we are well-placed to help domestic and commercial customers dispose of it once removed.

What Type of Asbestos Survey Do I Need

There are two primary types of asbestos surveys:

Asbestos Management Survey (previously known as Type 2)
Asbestos Refurbishment/Demolition Survey (previously known as Type 3)

If you plan to carry out major works or a partial or full demolition, then an asbestos refurbishment and demolition survey is the correct option. This should be carried out in advance of works starting. If you require an asbestos survey when buying or selling a house, for a commercial lease or as part of the sales process for a commercial building, then you require an asbestos management survey.
